Lil Durk – 7220 (Deluxe)
The highly anticipated deluxe of Lil Durk’s most recent project, “7220” has finally arrived. Durk stays in his lane throughout the album, but gives his fans a solid performance from top to bottom. The Chicago rapper came out swinging with the lead single he dropped earlier in the week with “Did Sh*t To Me” featuring Doodie Lo, a member of OTF. He continued with that tone in the early parts of the Deluxe but later shows the more somber side heard in all of his most recent tapes in songs like “Unhappy Father’s Day” and “Two Hours From Atlanta”. Durk pours out his sole on various emotional yet warming beats produced by Chopsquad Dj, DB!, and Wheezy. The new addition also includes excellent performances by Moneybagg Yo, Ella Mai, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and EST Gee. Although it’s not perfect, The Voice put out a memorable street tape that’s more than likely going to swoop in and take the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
